These are Pierre-Don GIANCARLI’s Ph.D. French-English bilingual children corpora. They consist of oral productions from 25 children (11 boys, 14 girls) raised in a French-English bilingual environment of ages ranging between 2 and 6 years, and whose parents are from either France or Belgium on the one hand; or England, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Canada or the United States of America on the other hand.
Type de corpus : Oral
Langues concernées : French and English
Taille : 30.547 words
Provenance des données :
The data consist of tape-recordings of spontaneous parent-child conversations made in each child’s home, in France or abroad, which were then transcribed by a French-speaking person (myself) in collaboration with an English-speaker. In the case of my son Nicholas-Don, some productions were taken down in a diary and included in his corpus.
